Work and Travel for Arborists

Here is where you, as either an arborist/ tree surgeon from countries within the EU or from New Zealand and Australia, can find out about working abroad.  Because im a Kiwi and have worked and traveled extensively through Europe, I will provide information on these countries only.

Work and travel VISAs – For people under the age of 30

If your under 30, you have got it very easy.  Basically everyone is able to get a working holiday VISA with no special skills what so ever – as long as your under 30.   VISAs are cheep and arrive typically within 3 weeks.   Generally, your able to work for one employer for no longer than 6 months.

For Kiwis looking to head to Europe and vice versa, here is a list of options within the EU where the work and holiday VISA applies;

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the UK.

I personally wouldn’t look for work in all of these countries though…

For Aussies looking to head to Europe and vice versa, here is a list of options within the EU where the work and holiday VISA applies;

Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK.

Passport holders from countries within the EU wishing to work and travel to either New Zealand or Australia, will be illegible for a work and holiday VISA for the corresponding countries as listed above.  There are work and holiday VISA agreements between certain countries, this special VISA only applies as a two way street.
